Principle 7: The Coordination of Intelligence in Chiropractic
Today, we’re going to discuss Principle 7 of the Chiropractic 33 Principles: “The amount of intelligence for any given amount of matter is 100%, and is always proportional to its requirements.”
In order to obtain perfect coordination, there needs to be one commanding officer with one hundred percent management of the entire unit. One head coach, not two head coaches.
Within your physiology is the ability to self-heal, self-coordinate, and self-function. Every single human body has these innate characteristics that point towards an intelligence. Intelligence not in the sense of how smart you are, but intelligence in the sense of inner principles that develop and guide the matter—cells, tissues, and organs—towards a state of harmony.
For example, if you cut your finger, put a bandage on it, and in no time the cut is healed up and replaced with normal skin. Your self-healing, self-coordinating, and self-functioning ability within your body turns that dysfunctional state into normal healthy tissue. This is inner intelligence at work.
Every second of our life, our body is in self-healing, self-functioning, and self-coordination mode to get rid of the weak, dying cells and replenish them with new healthy ones. This process requires that there be one commanding officer coordinating the trillions of cells to work in a state of organization and mutuality of all the major organs and tissues.
The Commanding Officer: The Brain
In order for there to be perfect harmony among the trillions of cells, there must be perfect coordination among the parts of tissues and organs for the organization of well-being. In order to have perfect coordination, there must be one commanding officer that has control over every function within the body.
Well-being within the physiology of your body is under the control and coordination of the commanding officer: the brain.
The brain is the command station of the body that contains billions of neurons connected through synapses to other neurons for the purpose of communication. Physiologically, the brain is the control center for every organ, tissue, and cell within the body through this communication process.
The potential for an optimal state of well-being is within all of us, and removing interference to the expression of it for self-healing, self-coordination, and self-function can open the door inward to that fundamental principle.
Chiropractic’s Role in Restoring Coordination
Chiropractic is focused on co-creating a higher state of coordination at the neurological level by locating levels of interference in the information that connects your body’s innate intelligence with the matter that makes up your body.
The information within the neurological impulses is conveyed from the brain to the body through the neurological system, keeping the cells and tissues working in a state of coordination. In chiropractic, we refer to the information within these neurological impulses as mental impulses.
Your inherent recuperative power needs to be free of any neurological interference in order for a complete state of well-being to occur from within.
One way to keep these mental impulses free of interference is optimal structure within your spine. When the spine is in alignment and acting in accordance as a whole structure, this allows the neurological tissues to function optimally, which in turn allows the body’s inherent recuperative power to coordinate overall well-being.
Chiropractic looks at your well-being as the entity and connection to an optimal state of function, related to your overall structural integrity, for the coordination of the trillions of cells that make up the tissues and organs for well-being.
